Parkville Pics

Parkville Picture (or two) of the Week

My principal pastime is photography, both taking photos and manipulating them digitally. As you can imagine many of those photos are taken in Parkville. I thought this would be a good opportunity to share some of those photos, so each week I will try to post one or more photos of Parkville for the week. Check back each week to see what I have posted.

Here are a couple of photos I digitally enhanced. English Landing and Platte Landing Parks are very inspirational no matter the time or season.

I love the form of trees in the winter. They can be so interesting and majestic.

Right behind our house is the former house of Jack Friedman, a colorful Alderman who lived there when we moved in. The house is now owned by Pete who has done a terrific job of renovating the house and especially the yard.

It’s not the 4th of July, but I thought a couple of 4th pictures might bring a warm feeling on a cold winter day.

A friend recently asked me to take some photographs of the Parkville train station to use for a rendering. I love to digitally manipulate photographs to make them look painterly. I thought I would share a couple.
